It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Osvaldo Rodriguez, 47, of Ocala, Florida, on July 14, 2026.
Born on May 26, 1979, in Queens, New York, Osvaldo lived a life filled with energy, laughter, and an unwavering love for the people around him. A graduate of Belleview High School, he was known for his strong work ethic and spent 15 years building a career as a truck driver. Through his dedication and reliability, he earned the respect of those who worked alongside him and took great pride in providing for his family.
While Osvaldo worked hard, he embraced life even harder. He had an adventurous spirit and was always ready for the next road trip, vacation, or opportunity to create lasting memories. Whether he was watching sports, traveling to a new destination, taking photographs to capture life’s special moments, enjoying a great meal, or simply spending quality time with his loved ones, Osvaldo found joy in every day.
A passionate sports fan, he proudly cheered for the New York Yankees and also enjoyed following the New York Jets, New York Knicks, and the University of Florida Gators. His enthusiasm for his teams was contagious, and game days often brought family and friends together for spirited conversations and shared excitement.
Above all else, Osvaldo treasured his family. His greatest happiness came from being a devoted father and spending meaningful time with those he loved. His generous heart, infectious smile, and larger-than-life personality left an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a gift for making people laugh, lifting spirits, and reminding those around him to appreciate life’s simple pleasures.
Osvaldo is lovingly survived by his son, Julius Rodriguez; his sister, Rosana Rodriguez; his brother, Rafael Rodriguez; and his parents Candelario and Haydee Rodriguez. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
Though his time with us was far too short, Osvaldo’s adventurous spirit, love of family, and joyful approach to life will continue to inspire those who knew him. His memory will live on in every photograph that captures a smile, every family gathering filled with laughter, and every game cheered on in his honor.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
