

Born on May 7, 1937, in New York, New York, Robert lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep appreciation for history. He proudly served his community as a firefighter with the FDNY, a career that reflected his courage, commitment, and willingness to put others before himself. His years in the fire service left a lasting impact on those he worked alongside and the countless lives he helped protect.
On October 28, 1961, Robert married the love of his life, Marie Sisto, with whom he shared a lifelong partnership built on love, family, and mutual devotion.
Beyond his professional life, Robert had a profound passion for history—particularly the American Civil War. He was an avid student of the era, spending countless hours reading, discussing, and sharing his knowledge with others. He also cherished time with his family, which remained the center of his life.
Robert is survived by his children, Michael, Joseph, and Barbara, as well as his daughter-in-law, Joan. He was a proud grandfather to Robert, Michael, Danielle, Kaylan, Milan, Viktoria, Veronica, James, Sabrina, Sarah, and Cameron, and he delighted in watching his family grow across generations. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Julian, Gracelyn, and Beckham.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on April 6, 2026, at Forest Lawn.
Robert will be remembered for his bravery, his quiet strength, his love of history, and above all, his unwavering dedication to his family. His legacy of service and curiosity about the past will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
