Rogelio was born September 17, 1941 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Ruperto and Juana Figueroa. He joined the United States Air Force at 17 years of age and served for a total of 27 years. On May 20th, 1996 he and Lupe married in Upland, California. Rogelio enjoyed music, cars, and teaching at all times from his depth of wisdom. He enjoyed playing musical instruments and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His endearing nature and graceful disposition will be missed by all.
Rogelio is survived by his son Rogelio Figueroa, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, his daughters Ruth Matienzo, of San Diego, California, and Betsy Bird-Figueroa, of Henderson, Nevada; his wife Lupe Figueroa Estrada, of Ocala, Florida, her daughters Catherine Hernandez, of Ocala, Florida, Christine Maldonado, of Ocala, Florida; her sons Ray Garcia, of West Covina, California, and Angel Garcia, of Ocala, Florida; his 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
A celebration of life service will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S. Pine Ave, Ocala, Fl. 34480.
