Rose M. Goldstein
September 3, 1920 – February 7, 2020
Rose Marie Goldstein, 99 years old, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, at her residence with her family and loved caregiver by her side. Rose was born September 3, 1920, in Portland, Oregon to Joe and Josephine Rinella. Growing up, she loved the Timberline Lodge and skiing on Mt. Hood, Oregon. Rose joined the Navy during WWII, where she met her husband, George L. Goldstein. They were married over 71 years. Rose was a loving mother, homemaker and excellent cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. Rose had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, George, and three brothers, Frank, Tony and August. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Carla) Goldstein and Bob (Donna) Goldstein, 14 grandchildren, Denise Junkin, Jennifer (James) Gelb, Angela (Craig) Turner, Tracey (John) Marquez, Brian (Aileen) Goldstein, Jake (Heather) Goldstein, Chris (Shannon) Rodriguez and Jenny Rodriguez, 16 great-grandchildren, Andrew Junkin, Dain and Emma Braun, Sean and Maddie Turner, Emily and Kate Goldstein, Grace and Garrett Walding, Lucas Marquez, JJ, Jayla and Jayla Rose Goldstein, Penelope, Everleigh and Savannah Rodriguez, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at a viewing on Sunday, February 16 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be on Monday, February 17 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, Florida. Following the service, interment will be at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 11:00 a.m.
