Sallie Sue Chubbee

She married Clifford Brown on August 29, 1966. She had four amazing children, Donald Wayne Brown, Kevin Wayne Wiseley, Susan Earlene Brown, and Kutrenia E. Brown. She married David Cornelius Chubbee in Durant, Oklahoma on December 29, 1979. They attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University together and stayed happily married until David’s passing in June 2002. She continued to live in their home in Antlers, Oklahoma until 2016 when she moved to Ocala, FL to be closer to her kids and grandchildren. She was blessed with her first great-grandchild at the age of 73.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading the Bible, watching westerns, spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her great-grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do with the kids was to play school, probably from her time working as a teacher.

Survivors include her children: Kevin Wiseley and Kutrenia Brown. Her grandchildren: Ashley (Justin) McCall and Michael Conaway, and her most precious great-grandchildren: Jordan Brown, Robert McCall, Dakota McCall, and Kenzie McCall as well as her ex-husband, Clifford Brown and her honorary grandchildren: Dustin and Tania Marshall, Timothy Adkins and Eddie Clarke.

She is also survived by her sisters: Joyce Ward, Violet (Danny) Jabarra, and Virgie (Jim) Walker; a sister-in-law, Lenora Windle and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: David C. Chubbee, her son: Donald Brown and her daughter: Susan Brown; Her brothers: David Robert Windle, John Earl Windle and William James Windle and by her sisters: Dorothy Belle Edwards and Goldie Laverne Windle.
