

Shirley Ann Masino, born in Buffalo Erie New York on August 8th, 1936, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025. She was the daughter of Elmer and Jessie Desso (Curtis).
Shirley was raised During WWII while her dad was in the United States Navy. She lived in Youngstown New York, CFT Niagara Veterans.
Shirley attended St. Elizabeth’s Academy, graduating with the highest honors in 1954. She was “May Queen”. She Continued her studies, earning an associate’s degree. She took great pride in her education and the opportunities it brought her throughout her career and personal life.
In her early adulthood, Shirley embraced both work and family, building a life that reflected her values of hard work and devotion. She was employed in the insurance industry as an independent property insurance case agent, a role in which she applied diligence and care. She found pride in her career accomplishments, such as being a Certified Professional Insurance Women-CPIW and of the Insurance Institute of America, and the contributions she made to her community through her work.
Family was Shirley’s greatest source of pride. She cherished and took pride in her son, Eric Ringle of Madison, Wisconsin, and deeply loved her family, including her brother, Raymond Desso of Syracuse, New York, and her sister, Norma Henderson of Gaffney, South Carolina (deceased 1998). Ann was also blessed with many nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life: Michael Desso, Greg Desso, Chris Desso, Bruce Hart, Aaron Hart, Allison Desso, Muriel Hart, and Rachael Hart.
Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Samuel Masino, and carried his memory with her after his passing.
Shirley will be remembered with love by all who knew her, and her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched.
