Walter “Walt” Swafford, 74 , of Ocala, passed away May 12, 2012 at home. He was born on February 18, 1938 in Charleston, Tennessee a son to the late Oscar and Mildred (Willet) Swafford. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son David, and several brothers and sisters. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 16 years Mary, sons Gary (Alice) Swafford of Cleveland, TN, Steve Swafford also of Cleveland, TN, daughters Karen (Tim) Nichols and Pat (Jim) Freeman both of Cleveland, TN, step- son Jimmy (Pam) Kelley of Crossett, Arkansas, brothers Dennis Swafford of Zephyrhills, FL, Jimmy (Hazel) Swafford in Cleveland, TN, sisters Hazel (Ray) Slack in Chicago, IL, Bonnie Faye Scarborough in Cleveland, TN, thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. A visitation has been schedule for 10:00am-11:00am with the funeral to follow at 11:00am at Fort Douglas Baptist Church 2790 SW 87th Place, Ocala, FL 34476. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
