William Paul Fortier, 96, of Ocala passed away February 26, 2016. He was born in Akron, Ohio to Paul and Jeanette (Glaser) Fortier on July 2, 1919 and moved to Buffalo, NY in early childhood. He was a WWII veteran who served in the US Army Air Corps as a bombardier trainer. On his last training mission, his plane exploded and he was only one of two survivors. He moved to Florida in the 1960’s and was a member of the American Legion in Crystal River, FL and the Marion County Rose Society.
His beloved wife of 73 years, Norma L. Fortier, preceded him in death just 10 months ago. He is survived by his loving daughter, Marilyn S. Troglauer; granddaughter, Lisa Dolan, great grandchildren, Devin, Brandalyn and LLiam Dolan and one brother, Robert (Dorothy) Fortier.
He will be greatly missed.
