DEAL – Bernard Farber died peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2018 at home. He was 92.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived most of his childhood years in Newark before moving to Brielle, and then Deal in 1967. Prior to retiring, Bernie was a registered pharmacist who graduated from Rutgers School of Pharmacy. He had his own pharmacy in Manasquan for many years before opening his first health food store and a vitamin company. He was a WWII Army Veteran who served in Le Harve, France and Verviers, Belgium. He was a long time member of Temple Beth El, now known as Temple Torat El.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Florence; his brother Nelson; and his sister, Gloria.
Surviving is his daughter, Shereen Haas and her husband Charles; his son Robert and his wife Isabelle; his grandchildren: Billie, Ian, Sallie, and Sarah; and his dear family member, Clemene.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 10AM at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, under the direction of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels.

Bernard Farber (Pop) one of the best man I've ever known, funny, always in good humour. I've known him for almost four years, he was a people guy, everyone that knows him, he's always leave a good impact with them. Either a smile or an advice something that'll stay with you forever.
