Charles Lerner

Services for Charles L. Lerner, 81, who passed away on Tuesday at Jersey Shore Medical Center will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Route 35 South, Ocean, NJ on Thursday at 2 PM. The family will be receiving friends and family at the chapel from 12:30-2:00 PM

Born in Los Angeles, California, Chuck has been a resident of Neptune since 1962. In the 1950s Chuck worked in his father’s electric company, Lerner Electric and went on to work in electrical supplies until his retirement in 2003.

A graduate of the Asbury Park High School in 1952, Chuck received his Associate’s Degree in 1954 from Monmouth Jr. College

Chuck was a member of the Monmouth-Ocean Electrical Association as well as a member of the Asbury Park-Wall Elks #128

An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching the Giants, Jets, Mets and USC. Chuck was involved with the Neptune Little League and the Neptune Soccer Association for which he coached the 66ers and the 75 Eagles.

Chuck is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Roberta; his son Gregg and wife Amy; and his two grandsons, Zack and Colin who he loved watching in all their activities.

The family especially wants to thank the Cardio-Vascular ICU unit staff for all their outstanding care given to Chuck during his illness. So Memorial donations to The Cardio-Vascular ICU at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ would be greatly appreciated.
