Deborah graduated from Queens College with an undergraduate degree and went on to receive her Ph.D., in Motivational Psychology from Fordham University. Dr. Kezsbom, as she loved to be referred, had a very successful professional career as an Industrial Psychologist. She formed MRA Management Resources, which was a consulting firm specializing in technology and project management for corporations. Deborah was a noted subject matter expert in her field and as such authored numerous books on the topic.
In her personal life, Deborah enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing Mahjong, Canasta as well as participating in every activity her community had to offer.
Deborah is survived by her husband Patrick Monahan; sister Cynthia Mastroianni & her husband Frank, brother Allen Kezsbom & his wife Beverly, niece Donna Banjany, step-daughter Kerry Monahan-Gaughan, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean, New Jersey 07712. This will viewable via Facebook Live. There will be a link on our site. Masks are optional in the funeral home.
There will be a committal service at 1:15 PM at Garden of Memories (Mausoleum at Cedar Park Cemetery), Forest Avenue, Washington Township, New Jersey 07675. Masks must be worn inside the buildings at the cemetery.
Shiva will be observed at the late residence following the entombment. Please reach out to the family for more information.
