Frimet was born in New Bedford, MA in 1930 to Lena and Abraham Horvitz. She was an artist who enjoyed painting, loved playing mahjong, reading, and solving daily crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling, especially with friends to Aruba and Atlantic City. Frimet was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, mother-in-law and friend who was loved and respected by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Herman Wilk, as well as by her brother Sheldon Horvitz who lost his life in 1944 in WWII, earning a Purple Heart for bravery and loss of life.
She is survived by her loving daughters Sharon (David Shur) and Rhonda (Robert Silverman) and her former son-in-law, Scott Baron.
Frimet is also survived by her six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Alex Baron, Alia Baron, Eric Silverman, Jake Silverman, Julia Silverman, Hannah Silverman, and Michael and Erica Shur. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she cherished spending time with them and enjoyed hearing all about them.
We will miss our mom greatly.
There will be a graveside service on Sunday, March 31st at Agudath Achim Cemetery starting at noon.
