

It is with great sadness that the family of Harry J. Carlin announces his sudden passing. He was 77, a recent resident of Lakewood, New Jersey from Queens Village, New York. He died Monday, February 6th, 2017.
Mr. Carlin served 4 years in the United States Navy then entered The City of New York Police Department 114th precinct in Queens. As badge 2424, he served as an officer for 20 years on the police force.
He actively donated money to multiple charities like Boys Town for troubled children, Disabled Veterans, St. Jude’s for children with Cancer and Wildlife Foundation annually.
Harry is buried at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, New Jersey near his brothers Theodore and Steven. In honor of Officer Harry J. Carlin, the family made a donation to the New Jersey Vest-A-Cop program providing armored vests to an officer and a K9 patrol dog.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in his memory and can do so by sending a donation to Officer Harry J. Carlin / Vest-A-Cop, Brick Rotary Club, PO Box 21, Brick, NJ 08723 so that multiple police officers / patrol dogs can be protected in years to come.
