
She was born in Asbury Park on October 1,1931 to Rachel and Meyer Hock. She graduated from Asbury Park High School. Jackie and her beloved husband, Lawrence, were founding members of Temple Beth El in Wanamassa. They relocated from Deal Park, where they raised their family, to Melbourne, FL in 1985.
Jackie was cherished by her family and friends, always with a strong social conscience, an avid reader, a lover of nature’s beauty and a most positive and grateful outlook on life and all its gifts. She wouldn’t have traded growing up and living at the Jersey Shore for anywhere.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents, her Aunt Rebecca Forshaw who raised her, her loving husband of 64 years, Lawrence and her sisters Annette Cook and Cecile Glasser. She is survived by her children Richard of Melbourne,FL, Gary of Boca Raton,FL, and Amy(Andy) of Bethesda, MD, as well as her grandchildren, Marisa(Casey), Rianna (Ryan), Emily, Sarah, Claire and Michael, and great-grandchildren, Colette, Hayes and Jack.
A Funeral Service will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean, NJ 07712, US, on May 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with live stream available at
