It’s been 9 years, nearly 10, since my dad had passed. I still think about him every now and then. The occasional tears I have every so often. My sister kind of just moved on, but I haven’t forgotten about him, nor have I moved on. I’m 16 now, and I really wish he was here right now. I remember he liked OK computer, that album is awesome, I love Radiohead. I write poetry, and I love to write in general, just like him. Sometimes I wonder if he’d be proud of how far i’ve come. I miss you dad, I love you and hope I can see you again one day. Rest easy, I love you, and I miss you. 💙

Jay, on this anniversary of your passing, may your spirit know that it will always be remembered. You were my first love and I cherish all the memories and challenges we faced as two kids from Queens trying to figure out our place in the world.

Jay was one of those guys that just really, really, really cared if you hadn't smiled that day yet, because he would soon after, make you smile. Grateful for a lot of the things he shared with us. Thanks for being a writer...you'll never truly be away from us. XO.

Jay was a special friend of mine, more like a brother from another mother. We shared many laughs. I have so many fond memories of our friendship. He had an infectious smile, a quick wit, and a loving spirit that will live on through our shared memories. I am grateful to have known him. Rest easy my brother.

We had a few little jokes together here at the office- it was always a pleasure to hear him talk about his special times with the girls. Jay was a kind heart who will be dearly missed

Jay was a talented poet and great friend. He will be missed by many!!!

It's still hard for me to believe. Over 15 years ago, he gave me a hug and simply said "you're already okay". We became fast friends. No matter how infrequently we saw each other, when we connected, we always would say that to each other. A shared giggle that I always loved. It's not okay. Jay left us much too soon.

I remember when Jay called me up and asked me how to sauté chicken breast. So I explained it to him step by step. When he finished cooking it, he called me excitedly to tell me they came out delicious. He was so proud of his chicken meal that he offered to share it with me. I went over to his home and I shared dinner with him. We talked, we laughed, we talked about life's struggles and joys. I know I could call Jay anytime with anything, and he always ALWAYS! had a pair of listening ears, an understanding heart, and great inputs. Jay was one of those most intellectual, spiritual, compassionate, kind hearted human being I have ever known. Jay I will, We will miss you until we meet again in Heaven. We will keep you in our heart, and cherish all the memories we have of you. Rest in Peace.

Jay was a good friend of mine for many years. He always was there for me. He could always bring light to a situation. We always came together during the tough times. We shared many laughs and hours together.

To me, Jay is my grandson. He always called me Nana and was best friends with my other grandson, Ron Henson. He will always be my Jay and will remain in my heart forever. I love you dearly Jay.

We considered Jay to be a part of our family and are thankful for all the times we shared with him. He was a loving brother, father, son and friend. Jay often spoke to us about the love he had for his brother. Jay was such a good person. We will miss him so very much, but we know how truly blessed we were just to know him. There is a special place in our hearts carved out for our memories of Jay. Wishing your family love, support, and our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.
