April 30, 1936 – January 4, 2019
STONE - Jeannine, 82, of Naples, Florida, born to the late Myron and Irma Jeck, passed away on January 4th, 2019 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Jeannine was born and raised in Asbury Park, New Jersey and was a direct descendent of the Whyte Family, who were original settlers of Monmouth County and Asbury Park New Jersey, with lineage tracing back to the early 1700’s. Jeannine held an Associate’s degree in business from Monmouth University and spent many years as an executive assistant ultimately working for and retiring from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Richard (Dick) was the love of her life and they retired to Marco Island Florida. She was an avid nature lover, birder and shell collector and spent many years as a Board Member with Friends of Tigertail Beach, where she and Dick co-chaired the Birding Festival Committee. She would spend hours as a docent, leading birding tours or simply wading in the warm gulf waters, collecting sand dollars and shells. Jeannine is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Dick, of Naples, Florida, cherished sons, Evan and his wife Lisa, Adam and his wife Geri, her adored grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew and Carli and her “furkid”, Chance, the Yorkshire terrier. A graveside funeral service will be held at Temple Beth El Cemetery, conducted by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Ocean, NJ. Although it was during hurricane Irma Jay and I both will forever be grateful to have weathered the storm with Aunt Jeannine and Uncle Dick! We got to spend some hours and a few days all together just laughing and talking and staring at each other! But we feel so lucky and blessed to have this time together with Aunt Jeannine and Uncle Dick. Rest In Peace Aunt Jeannine
