Joel D. Frank, 78, of Lakewood, passed peacefully on the morning of January 5th, and will be reunited with his beloved wife Rae at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. Joel, a veteran of the United States Army, was ever proud of the security clearance that he was bestowed, a testament to his integrity and intelligence. Joel described his past always with a smile, remembering drumming in Battle of the Bands where he challenged and lost to one Billy Joel in his high school days on Long Island. Joel spent many long days on the retail floor and wrapped up his career in marketing for Reichenbach, Inc, where he shined and supplied food for all of the family parties.
Joel was a proud big brother to Susan and protective uncle of Erica, Bruce, and Jodi, whom he loved dearly and communicated with until his final days. Stepfather to Ira and Liza and grandpa Joel to Tara and Kate, he was a dedicated family man. Predeceased by his parents, sister Madeline, and Rae, the light of his life in 2017, Joel committed himself to living independently in his home in Four Seasons where they had made wonderful memories.
With a gift for debate which he attributed to being a Libra, Joel was often the center of attention. Well-loved by family and friends, he is already and will forever be sorely missed.
