Dear Lelands Team,

We all lost our Dearest Friend, Josh.

I feel a part of my soul has been taken. Josh was a very dear friend, mentor, and inspirational leader.

He was the Hobby!!! He started it, grew it, championed it, and the "father figure" to all of us. It brings tears to my eyes to think he is no longer with us physically, but knowing his spirit lives on keeps us all going.

He literally touched everyone in the Hobby. He was the guru of guru's. But most importantly, he was a great guy and friend.

With warmest wishes to all of you and the rest of Josh's family.

I found a complete Spring Training Boston Red Sox uniform in Sedona AZ. That fall I showed it to Josh at the Shriner’s Show in Wilmington. He ended up owning it. But not before pouring his knowledge onto me. I just eased back to witness the joy in his expressions. Lovely human. With sincere condolences ... Hank

Josh Evans' family is going to receive many of these messages. I'm one of the thousands in the baseball hobby collecting community that thinks highly of Josh and his integrity. It was very sad to learn of his passing. Josh is going to be remembered by the many friends he's made over the years. Condolences to Josh's family and the sports collecting community.

I am saddened to learn of Josh's passing. I haven't seen him in 20 years, but I remember him reaching out to me upon my dad passing in 2000. He was always a pleasure to talk to, deal with and always treated others in such a way that they always remembered it. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family!

My deepest condolences to Maxine, Andrea and the Leland's crew. I have many fond memories of Josh and my time working there, not the least of which was our white water rafting trips. The hobby has lost an icon and the world has lost a good man.

I want to share my condolences to Josh's family. I met Josh two years ago when he came to my home to make a purchase from me. He was a funny, knowledgeable guy who left me feeling like I knew him my whole life. I enjoyed our day together and I will remember him always. My deepest sympathy to you all. John Boutet Buffalo, NY.
