Born and raised in Allentown, PA, Lance has lived in Ocean Township for many years. He graduated from Rutgers School of Engineering and went on to receive his Medical Degree from Yale University. He has been proudly employed as an Orthopedic Surgeon in his own practice with Markbreiter Orthopedics in Eatontown.
In his spare time, Lance enjoyed tennis and skiing and loved to travel with his wife and family. However, there was nothing more important to him than spending time with his beloved family. Lance was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by the many who knew him throughout his life.
Lance is predeceased by his father Stephen Markbreiter.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 38 years Cheryl Markbreiter; his mother Audrey Markbreiter; his loving daughters Sydney Markbreiter and Carly Cohen and her husband Zachary; his sister and her husband Shari and Steven Wayne; his in-laws Sandy and Janet Pernick; his brothers-in-law and their spouses Steven and Caryn Pernick and Glenn and Kerri Pernick; and his nieces and nephews Nathaniel and Tessa Wayne, Rylee and Jayson Pernick, and Ally and Taylor Pernick.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11am on Wednesday, September 16 at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Hwy 35, Ocean, NJ with family and friends welcome to pay their respects from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Temple Beth El Cemetery in Neptune.
