I'm pretty sure this is the Leslie that I was involved with in 1975-6 
I was listening to James Taylor documentary and thought of her enjoying him

Leslie was passionate and filled with a smiling spirit that was rare. A terrific person. She then was a psychiatric nurse. My dad met her and was quite moved. A great spirit!!!

We met Leslie just eight years ago, when we moved into the house next door to her in Eatontown, finding her to be at first a wonderful neighbor, then, as we got to know her, a good and true friend. She was always upbeat, cheerful, and caring, and had a kind word to say to our Parents, children, and grandchildren whenever she met with them. She truly had a good and gracious heart, and a strong, courageous, spirit. Our thoughts are with all those she loved. Rest now, dear friend.

I knew Leslie from over 25 years ago, but hadn't seen her in many years. This past summer we met again at the chemotherapy center. I was recently diagnosed with tonsil cancer. It was so nice spending the time talking with her. She was so courageous,and upbeat. She said she ate the same breakfast,at the same diner everyday because it made her happy. I was so impressed that she didn't let her condition keep her from enjoying herself. She kept my spirits up. I will surely miss her. Please except my sincerest condolences.

Leslie was a beautiful person, inside and out. She will be sorely missed.

Leslie was my cousin and growing up we spent many, many happy hours together at the duplex that she and her brother and parents shared with our grandparents.  She was always the "good kid" and I was the one who was devilish and got into mishief :-)
I am deeply saddened at her passing.  I am though glad that she is no longer in pain and suffering.  My thoughts are with her brother at this difficult time.  Rest in peace Leslie.

Leslie was our niece and always sweet and beautiful.  When we lived in New York. we had the pleasure of seeing her and her parents often, and enjoyed her visit in California. My husband Bill
panicked this week when he thought he lost the ring she gave him 30 years ago, but was so happy he found it again.

Leslie and I met 65 years ago.  She and I were a few houses apart from our tree-lined street in Ozone Park, New York.  She was my dearest friend and a sister in my heart. Throughout both our lives, we shared many joyous times as well as many difficult challenges. I will always remember our long breakfasts at her favorite diner, later sharing cheesecake and laughing always at something, and phone calls lasting more than an hour.  I could always count on Leslie to be there for me, always on my side, generous beyond measure, with warm hugs and gifts for no special reason - just because.  I hope I was as good a friend to her as she was to me.  I will miss you beyond measure, my dearest friend.  I will continue to talk to you every day in my prayers.
