Born in New York, NY to the late Robert and Anita Rush and living for most of his life in Deal, Lewis relocated to Vancouver, WA several years ago to be close to his brother.
He graduated from Monmouth College and served in the United States Navy receiving an honorable discharge in 1962. He worked in sales in the family business at Klang's Auto Parts in Brooklyn. He was a loving son, brother, and friend who had an uncanny ability to remember the name of everyone he met and a sunny disposition to all. He will be missed by the many he knew throughout his life.
Lewis is predeceased by his sister Jane Rush Stillman and by his nephew Nathan Rush.
Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, William “Billy” and Margaret “Peggy” Rush as well as nephew Roger Rush and niece, Elizabeth Stillman Morrison.
A Graveside Service will be held at Beth El Cemetery in Neptune, NJ on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
