Linda Greisman

GREISMAN - Linda, 76, of Rumson, NJ, born to the late Sara and Simon Frankel, passed away on June 9th, 2018, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted friend to many.

Linda inspired us all with her grace, kindness, class, and beauty. Her humility, compassion and empathy were an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Linda was a graduate of New York University. She was a teacher as well as an accomplished pianist and painter.

Alfred was the love of her life. They traveled throughout the world for over fifty years including living in Germany for three years while Alfred served as an Orthopedic Surgeon for the U.S. Army. Her great joy was skiing, which she enjoyed in Vermont, the Western U.S. and throughout Europe. Linda was also an avid tennis player and an accomplished Bridge player. She continued her passion for the arts as a regular supporter of the New York Philharmonic for over forty years. Linda served for the National Council of Jewish Women for over twenty-five years, was a long time trustee of the United Jewish Appeal and was a trustee for the Rumson Community Appeal. A longtime member of The Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, it was her home away from home. Her greatest joy of all was being in Rumson at the beach, Florida or Vermont with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Alfred, of Rumson, NJ, cherished children, Gabrielle and Naz Zilkha, of Chappaqua, NY, and Jared and Beth Greisman, of NY, NY, loving sister and brother, Roberta Gold, of Lido Beach, NY and Joel Frankel, of Brooklyn, NY, and her adored grandchildren, Danielle, Chloe, Jack, Matthew, Rebecca, and Samuel.
