A lifelong Jersey Shore local, Marilu was born June 26, 1944 at Monmouth Medical Center, alongside her beloved twin sister, Cheryl Berns, to Domenica “Shirley” Baratta and Jerome Kantor. She lived her entire life at the Jersey Shore with residences in Deal, Ocean, West Long Branch, and Tinton Falls.
Marilu enjoyed spending time in the kitchen surrounded by her family. The greatest joy in her life came from being with her grandchildren: Jenna Nonnemacher, Jessica Nonnemacher, Cameron Rosenberg, Norman Rosenberg Jr., Justin Rosenberg, Brenton Rosenberg, Jesielle Rosenberg and Rezielle Natnat.
Marilu was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 43 years, Ronald H. Brousell. She is survived by her daughters Heather Brousell and Heidi Nonnemacher; her son Norman Rosenberg; her son-in-law Michael Nonnemacher; her daughter-in-law Jo Rosenberg; her 8 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren.
Services for Marilu Brousell will be private. Contributions in Marilu’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
