I met Mike in HS, we had a television production class together. We both shared a love of music & enjoyed going to a  Genesis concert together back in the day. We reconnected on facebook years later, and enjoyed many conversations about music, whether it be about a band or musician we both appreciated, or a common love of playing the drums. This picture is from a nice night out we shared a few years ago with other HS friends, I really enjoyed seeing him that night ! Mike, continue to make great music in heaven !!! God Bless 🙏🙏🙏

Michael and I met in Transitionsal First Grade at Oakhurst Elementary School in 1975.
We graduated from OTHS  in 1988.
Although we didn’t hang out in HS
We reconnected at the 20 year reunion in 2008.
Mike was a very kind person. Often misunderstood , not short on words, but a very loyal friend.
I will miss him very much.

Condolences to the Hirsh family. I knew Mike for years having both been drummers and his enthusiasm for music inspired me. He never dropped that torch. Mike is up there with all his heroes..
