Myrna Imber, 81, of Eatontown, New Jersey, was a kind, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2021, surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Myrna (Sales) was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating high school, she attended Pace College where she met the love of her life Marvin Imber. After marrying in 1960, they moved to New Jersey where they raised four children. Unfortunately, their eldest son Owen passed away at the age of 25 from cancer. Myrna and Marvin were married for 58 years before Marvin’s passing in 2019.
Myrna was passionate about her family. Her whole being revolved around her children and grandchildren. And whether you were born into the family or married into it, she treated everyone with love and respect. She also enjoyed her position at the Children’s Center of Monmouth County where she was administrator of human resources since 2009.
Myrna is survived by her children and their spouses, Ian & Stacey Imber, Howard & Amy Imber, Felicia (Imber) & Brad Bogan. She was the loving grandmother to Evan Imber and Noah, Ariel & Hannah Cadoff; Rachel & Heather Imber and Meaghan & Michael Rush; Nick & Steven Bogan.
The funeral will be Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 11:00AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 NJ-35, Ocean Township, NJ 07712. For shiva information, please contact the Chapel.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Myrna’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
In the words of the beautiful Myrna Imber, “That’s it. What can I tell you?”
