Richard Levine

Richard Levine, 88, of Hazlet and Middletown NJ, passed away on December 14, 2018. Richard is the beloved husband of Marlene Spector Levine, loving father of Michael Levine (deceased), Steven Levine, David Levine and his wife, Jodi Palinkas, and Matthew Levine and his partner Sonia Smith. He is the proud grandfather of Jessie Patton-Levine and her husband Brian Diggs, Sam Levine, and Gideon Levine and loving great-grandfather of Ruby Diggs. He is also the loving brother-in-law of Jacki Spector and Helen Levine. Richard's dental practice served the coummunity of Hazlet NJ from 1958 to 2018. For many years Richard and his wife Marlene produced the annual Middletown Folk Festival in Middletown NJ. He leaves behind a rich legacy of music and song, and a lifetime of loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Richard at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 20 at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapel, Ocean, NJ. The family will sit Shiva at Congregation B'nai Israel in Rumson New Jersey immediately following the service and burial on Thursday, from 12:30 to 5pm, and again in the evening from 7 to 9pm with a minyan service starting at 7 pm.
