Before moving to Florida, Rose and Charles raised their family in Colonia, New Jersey and then moved to the Concordia community in Monroe Township, New Jersey.
Rose played and taught accordion at the family’s music school, Shadlen Studios, in Bayonne. She was also an active volunteer for Deborah.
Mrs. Goldberg was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her brother Conrad Shadlen; and her brother-in-law Albert Rubin.
Rose is survived by her son Jerry Goldberg (Wendy) of West Long Branch, New Jersey; daughter Susan Strasser of Boca Raton, Florida; son-in-law Marc Strasser of Boca Raton, Florida; sister Beatrice Rubin of Wayside, New Jersey; sister Wendy Roberts (Charles) of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughter Dana Strauss (Eric); granddaughter Arielle Polito (Kellen); grandson Jared Strasser (Jillian); granddaughter Ashley Strasser; great-grandchildren Maya and Lily Strauss, and Charlie and Lennon Polito.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095 immediately followed by a burial.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Jerry and Wendy Goldberg on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 after the burial until 9:00 PM; Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM; and Friday, June 3, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
