Anna Ruth Brown

Anna Ruth Brown, 75, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at her home. Born February 1, 1940 in Wyoming County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter Elkins, Sr. and Ida Mae Miller Elkins. Ruth was the owner of Ruth’s Beauty Shop, she retired after working 35 years as a beautician. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Brown, five brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sons, Matthew Morgan of Columbus, OH and David Brown and wife, Sue of Chambersburg, PA; daughter, Cindy Morgan Mullens and husband, Tommy of Roanoke, VA; brother, Herb Elkins of Oceana; sisters, Helen Brown of Oceana and Rosie Phares of Circleville; seven grandchildren, Julie Vincent, Stephanie Hash, Nathan and Heather Morgan and Nick, Samantha and Daniel Brown; four great-grandchildren, Trinity, Olivia, Chloe and Kyle; and a niece, Linda Kazman of Oceana.
