Betty J Garrett

Betty Joyce Garrett, 88, of Oceana, passed away at Trinity Healthcare of Logan on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. A daughter of the late Ewell and Kyla Tomlinson Garrett, she was born April 19, 1927 in Mallory, WV. Betty was a member of the Oceana United Methodist Church, where she served as Treasurer. She retired after working many years with the late Dr. Shannon in Oceana. Surviving are a brother, Jerry Garrett of Moneta, VA, a sister, Peggy Market of Quincy, IL and many nieces and nephews. Betty’s special friends from her church and within her community were especially important to her. We, as a family, would like to thank Pastor Acord, his wife and members of Oceana United Methodist Church for their prayers, visits and cards during Betty’s illness. Also, we would like to offer a special thank you to the staff and care givers at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan. We appreciate the loving care Betty received while living there.
