He was the son of the late Demp and Annabell Johnson.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Lieselotte; one brother, Roy and two sisters, Edith and Helen.
Ray served in the Navy during World War II from 1942-1945. He was a disabled Plant Worker. Ray attended the Kopperston Freewill Baptist Church. He loved fishing with his best friend, “Ole Wills,” Wayville Johnson.
Survivors include two nephews, Ronald and Donald and two nieces, Wyonna and Ordella. Also surviving Ray is Judy Fraley, whom Ray loved and often called his daughter.
