James H Hughes

James Hughes, 88, of Sun Hill, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Princeton Community Hospital, following a short illness. Born December 20, 1926 in Baileysville, W.Va., he as the son of the late George Hughes and Pearl Cline Hughes. Mr. Hughes loved fishing and hunting, enjoyed listening to gospel music and relished every minute of raising children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rubye Hughes, a brother, Bob Hughes and sisters, Hazel Belcher, Drew Belcher and Easter Adkins. He will dearly missed by his sons, Timmy Hughes and wife, Patty of Chesterfield, Va. and Jeffrey Hughes and wife, Amy of Grottoes, Va.; his brother, Andrew Edward Hughes and wife, Betty of Peterstown; and his sister, Celia Toler of Clear Fork. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ricky Browning officiating. Interment will follow at Hughes Family Cemetery, Clear Fork. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, December 13, at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
