L.E Blankenship

LE Blankenship, 79, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born June 6, 1936 in Mohawk, WV, he was a son of the late Hannibal and Zela Cline Blankenship. LE was a retired coal miner and longtime member of Clear Fork Church of God. He enjoyed taking long walks in the woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, AB Blankenship; sister, Donna Jean Boardwine; and grandsons, Dillon and Cody. Joining his loving wife, Gracie Blankenship in mourning his loss, are two sons, Richard Blankenship of Beckley and Mark Blankenship and wife, Christa of Cool Ridge; two daughters, Diane Salyers and husband, David of KY and Christina Blankenship of Lester; two brothers, Hannibal Blankenship, Jr. and Larry Blankenship; three sisters, Geraldine Powers of Shady Spring, Maxine Gregory of Clear Fork and Glenda Smith of St. Louis, MO; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
