Martha E Hurley

Martha Stewart Hurley, 82, of Oceana, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on January 3, 2016, at Bowers Hospice House. Born in Dorothy, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Percy Lee and Anna Swanigan Deal. Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Matheny United Methodist Church. The things she enjoyed most in life was spending time with her family and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Stewart, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by four daughters, Donna Henard of Itmann; Freda Harbison and her husband, John, of Greensboro, NC; Diane King of Sophia; Terri Carroll and her husband, Kenny, of Reidsville, NC; a brother, Roger Deal of Greenville, SC; a sister, June Oberheiser of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Matthew Dancy, Jason Dancy, Alexa Hutchinson, Brandon Hutchinson, Della Lane, Kamryn Carroll and Dakota Harbison; four great-grandchildren and a special niece, Annetta Stacy of Oceana, WV.
