Susan Toler

Susan Sanders Toler of Kopperston went to be with Jesus, Friday, December 4, 2015. “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide by darkness.” -John 12:46 Praise Forever! Susan was born February 10, 1949 to the late Charles W. Sanders and Virginia Eskew Sanders. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Carlos Roy Toler; loving granddaughter, Alyssa Brooke Toler; two sons, Carlos Toler II and Paul Anthony Toler of Koppeston; granddaughters, Catlin Toler and Courtney Toler of Cincinnati, OH; only sibling (and best friend), Ruth Ann Cline and husband, Ellis of Kopperston; a very special aunt, Janice Whitlock of Charleston; and a close friend, Brenda Ferguson. She shall be dearly missed by her nephew, Mark Cline and special niece, Tonya Baylock. Susan died as she lived her life, helping someone else be happy, even if just for a short time by donating her organs. Her one last gift was the essence of Susan, always thinking of everyone else before herself. Susan wrote beautiful poetry and loved miniatures. It was always the small things that made her the happiest. She would stop and pick a small spring flower and proclaim the marvels of our creator. “Look now delicate and perfect”, she would whisper. We, who loved her best, will always have a special place in our heart for Susan, who needed love like we need air to breathe. She lives in peace, love and warmth with our Savior forever and ever. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Jones of Turkey Ridge Baptist Church and the Rev. Eual Toler officiating. Interment will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to FeedtheChildren.org or a charity of one’s choice.
