A devoted husband, father, and son, Alfredo "Freddie" SanMiguel left this world on September 25, 2026. At the age of 54, Freddie was surrounded by the family he loved above all else as he took his last breaths. His world was centered on family, all things cars (especially his models!), friends, and helping anyone in need.
Known for his famous hand-crafted model cars, Freddie was the 1999 Low Rider Magazine Best in Show among a number of other awards and recognitions for his creativity. At a young age Freddie developed a deep passion for music and always said it was a way of knowing people. He loved dancing and was forever up for the opportunity to show off his skills from his days as a dance crew member, especially backup for Selena Quintanilla!
On the career side of his life, Freddie made his mark known in the Automotive Parts World. His role as a parts manager through prominent companies he fostered many relationships and growth through every opportunity handed to him. He was a truly loyal
friend and those closest to him knew what an honor it was to have him on your side. Though accepting help wasn’t his strong suit, Freddie was always the first in line to serve others and make any situation lighter that he possibly could.
Freddie is survived by his wife Monica SanMiguel, son: Ray Paredes and wife Clarissa Paredes; daughters: Alexa Valenzuela and partner Dylan Pierce, Serina Andrade and husband Raul Andrade, Brianna Maes and husband Jay Maes, Audrey Allen; sister Sandy San Miguel and partner Martin Escobedo; and brother Johnny San Miguel.
Freddie was a grandfather to 10 and took every opportunity he could to be near his grandchildren. Preceded in death by both his parents Juan and Irma San Miguel, and his baby brother Paul San Miguel. Alfredo “Freddie” San Miguel was a man who genuinely believed Amor, Familia, y Respeto were words to live by each and every day and will be dearly missed by many.
