Anastacia Gomez Lerma, 74, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Odessa. She was born April 17, 1946 in Pecos to the late Maria (Escobedo) and Eduardo Gomez.

She moved to Odessa and spent most of her life there. She married Hector Lerma on August 24, 1966. She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends…especially her grandchildren.

Anastacia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hector Lerma of Odessa; children, Eugene Lerma and wife Cristina of Greenwood and Monica Chavez and husband Johnny of Midlothian; sisters, Ramona Salcido, Connie Gomez, Grace Gomez, Victoria Pardieck, Ofelia Garcia, Flavia Salazar, and Sylvia Reynolds; and five grandchildren, Nicholas Hans Lerma, Zoe Chavez, Ean Chavez, Camila Rodriguez and Carisa Rodriguez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Candida Tarin, Edward Gomez, Cipriano Gomez and Felipa Carrillo.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5-9 PM with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM, at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow at Noon at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos.

As you can see she loved us and we loved her as well. Ana was happy to celebrate birthdays for anyone. We have fond memories of many occasions and one on one visits. You will truly be missed but never forgotten, until we meet again one day we shall have many things to catch up on.
