

Anna Belle Melton Griswold, 90, passed away December 30, 2012 in Odessa, Texas. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Brad Bennett, is planned January 25, 2013 2:30 p.m. at Parks Methodist Retirement Village assisted living dining room/ library.
The funeral was held at Watson’s Funeral Home and burial at Lindale Memorial Gardens Eldorado Illinois January 4, 2013.
She was born November 19, 1922 in Hamilton County, Illinois. She met and married the love of her life Herman Griswold November 18, 1939, they resided in Broughton, Illinois until 1976, then moved to Odessa, Texas.
She was an accomplished seamstress, working at Dunlap’s and Donna’s Fashion Shop. After Herman’s retirement she did alterations from her home. She was a member of Antioch Christian church the past few year s she lived at Parks Methodist assisted living.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean and son-in-law Phil Stinson of Odessa, brother Harry Melton, sister Mary Gholson, three sisters-in-law, June Melton, Donna Melton and Susie Melton. Granddaughters Marsha and husband Rany Bishop, LaDonna and husband DeWayne Whitlock, Julie Stinson, grandson Jeff and wife Lelia Stinson, six great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was a joy to everyone who met her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman and son Fred Griswold, parents, Edo and Lucille Melton, brothers, Charles Harrell, Henry Melton and great-granddaughter Macy Jo Bishop.
A heartfelt thank you to the Parks Methodist staff and the assisted living staff, Watson Funeral Home of Eldorado, Ill., Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, Antioch Christian Church, Reverend Brad Bennett and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Memorial may be given to Antioch Christian Church, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and Parks Methodists Retirement Village.
