

He served briefly in the US Navy and later worked as a welder and business owner. He married Rose Marie Reese on July 29, 1955 in Odessa.
Anyone that knew Arthur knew that he was a devoted Christian. He loved the Lord and would tell anyone that would listen. He adored his wife Marie and took the upmost care of her for their 67 years of marriage. His hobbies included camping, elk hunting on horseback, and his family. He had a kind smile and a warm laugh and loved holding and praying over all the babies in the family.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Hailes of Goldsmith; sons, Arthur Noah Hailes, III and wife Cheryl Adams Hailes of Shawnee, OK and David Lee Hailes and wife Lisa Booth Hailes of Midland; daughter LeeAnn Hailes Widner and husband Bert of Kermit; brother, Walter Hailes and wife Fay of Fort Thomas, KY; grandchildren, Joshua David Hailes, Brandon Thomas Hailes, Debra Nicole Samples and husband Matt, Jennifer Stevenson and husband Matt, Alicia Singleton and husband Jason, Christian Harland and husband David and Danika Widner and fiancé Diego Saenz; and great grandchildren, Janeen Singleton, Cameron Singleton, Carter Singleton, Canon Harlan and Esther Harlan.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10 AM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Jimmy Braswell officiating.
