Atha Biggerstaff

Atha Auressa (Ress) Biggerstaff, 96, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, in Mansfield, TX.

She was born to J.W. and Betty Franklin in May 1916, in Lafayette Springs, MS. She married Willie E. (Bill) Biggerstaff in 1936.

Atha was a long time resident of Odessa. She had a passion for gardening and was known for her beautiful yard and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sons Willie G. and James W. Biggerstaff, both of Odessa.

Atha is survived by one son Larry Biggerstaff of Mansfield, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and caring friends.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
