Beth Pearson Cosper

Beth Pearson Cosper, 86, passed away on August 10, 2018 in Odessa, Texas. She was born on August 8, 1932 to Lee Roy Pearson and Vera Blair in Ranger, Texas. In 1952, she married James Shafer Cosper in Ranger, Texas. She taught school in 3 Texas towns - Levelland, McCamey, and Odessa. She also volunteered with Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary and was a life member of the NRA. She enjoyed gardening, reading, keeping a lovely home, and traveling to Dallas. She is survived by her husband James Shafer Cosper of Odessa, Texas; son Larry and Karen Cosper, Flower Mound, Texas; grandson James Cosper III, Eastland, Texas; granddaughter Kelsey and Joona Pelttari, Espoo, Finland and one great-grandchild Onni Pelttari. Beth is preceded in death by her parents Lee Roy and Vera Pearson; son James Cosper Jr.; siblings Electra Pearson, Lee Roy Pearson Jr., Lynn Heath, Mercedes Pearson, and Larry Champ Pearson. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Antioch Christian Church in Odessa, Texas. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Ranger, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

I have some many good memories of Beth, particularly in our ladies Bible study. She was very knowledgeable, adding much to our group. She could have us all laughing with just a few words. Her love for God and her family was an example to us. Praying for James & the family.
