

She was born August 5, 1927 to Milton Lewis Montgomery and Alice Kate Nobles in Coolidge, Texas. She married Ed Shaver on October 27, 1946, in Rockwall Texas and they moved to Odessa in 1948.
She worked as a nurse for 30 years and became the caregiver for several family members in their later years. She loved her family, her church family at First Baptist, her country, her little companion, “Honey Bear” and most of all, her Lord and Savior.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas Edward Shaver, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by son, Billy Ed Shaver and wife Julia of China Spring, Texas, daughter, Teri Shaver of Odessa, brother, Claude L. Montgomery and wife Bobbie of Wylie, Texas, 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Shaver and wife Becky of Round Rock, Kristie Kwan and husband Aaron of Cedar Park and 4 great-grandchildren Noah, Dyson, Karsyn, and Pierson, nephew, James Goodner considered an adopted son, numerous nephews and nieces whom she adored.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, and a Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Byron McWilliams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Owen, Marshall Owen, Robert Goodner, James Goodner, Jeremy Shaver, and Aaron Kwan.
