Bobby A. Ritter

Our precious mother Bobby Ann (Lile) Ritter, 74, a long time resident of Odessa passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at her home. She was born October 17, 1936 in Midland. She was a fifth generation Odessan. Her great-grandmother Donna Rabb gave Ector County the land for the Ector County Cemetery in the late 1800’s. Bobby lived in the same house at 208 N. Sam Houston for 73 years. She loved Odessa and she believed Odessa developed good people with good hearts. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1956. She married Floyd “Ed” Ritter August 30, 1958 in Odessa. She was a legal secretary for Harman & Harman Law firm until her retirement in 1990. She was voted Odessa’s Legal Secretary of the Year in 1983. She was a member of Life In Grace Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Floyd Ritter on February 16, 2010.

She is survived by her sons, Mark E. Ritter, & Scott C. Ritter both of Odessa, grandchildren, Megan N. Healer of Odessa, & Carson N. Ritter of Atlantic Beach, FL, and great-grandchildren, Carter & Mackenzie Healer.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Life in Grace Lutheran Church, on the corner of 11th & Tom Green.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Life In Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Becky Hand officiating. Soloist will be Rev. Clydell Chapman.

Interment will follow in family plot at Ector County Cemetery.
