Lots of love and prayers to all y'all Petersons. Big Carl gave me my 1st CB handle "muscrat"when I was in the 7th grade. He totally sparked my interest in radio at a young age. I kept that handle until I changed it to my stage name in 1989. Now I'm a ham radio upgraded license General class operator. Its true that your childhood friends effect your attitudes and common sense well into old age. Children are usually a result of their upbringing. Carl your dad was a straight shooter and an admirable man. It was fun to hang out with him and an honor to be around him.

My deepest condolences to the Peterson family. Carl always knew how to bring the laughs with his funny stories and corny jokes. I can say I was truly blessed by having crossed paths with Carl. Well Carl, I guess those days of " picking up cans" (inside corny joke) are over. Even though we are left with earthly sorrows, I take comfort in knowing you are in the Glorious presence of the Lord. Till we meet again my friend.....

The oldest of 3 girls our Daddy and momma adopted I thought the sun rose and set with my "big" brother Carl. Growing up on the farm our Daddy owned the biggest highlights of our summers were when our big brother and family would come visit from Odessa. Never a dull moment when they were all there. The house filled with laughter, they always brought gifts and as we grew older it was great watching the expressions on daddy's face when Carl Jr showed up with a new truck or car for daddy. One of my favorite memories is when they would all come in Carl would say "Bonnie" that's what he called me I need a neck rub!!! I've been driving! He would make some of the funniest faces and sounds it made us all laugh.
Over the years and after daddy passed away we lost touch and that's been sad.
I loved my big brother and now my prayer is he and daddy can reunite in heaven and watch over the rest of us from above.
RIP. Big brother. I loved you more than you ever knew.
Love always,
Your sister Bonita
