Carlota R. Ramirez

Surrounded by her loving family, Carlota Ramirez 87 of Odessa passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital, only to be received with open arms to our Heavenly Kingdom by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born on December 31, 1927 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mx to Diega and Petronilo Rodriguez. She united in marriage to Reynaldo Ramirez May 17, 1947. She was a Christian Catholic, parishioner of Holy Redeemer Church, and devoted wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Reynaldo, her parents Diega and Petronilo Rodriguez, and sister Anita Polanco.

She is survived by six children: daughters Olga Garza, Olivia Duckworth and husband Tom, Ofelia Pallanez and husband Tony, Josie Dominguez and husband Ruben, Hortencia Del Bosque and husband Randy, and son Rey Ramirez and wife Yolanda; six brothers Jose Rodriguez and wife Monica, Ruben Rodriguez and wife Lila, Loncho Rodriguez and wife Tomasa, Tonilo Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez and wife Chela, Lelo Rodriguez and wife Carmen, 5 sisters Vina Mills, Elfida Rodriguez, Naty Perez and husband Lupe, and Nena Mendez. 18 Grandchildren: Jerry Garza, JoAnne Dixon, Tamara Chavez, Anthony Duckworth, Joaquin Ramirez, Gabriel Pallanez, Mia Bejda, Tommy Duckworth, Ami Granado, Nina Sandate, Kristi Duckworth, Rachel Ramirez, Monica Kincheloe, Jerrod Duckworth, Melissa Dominguez, Mandi Del Bosque, Michelle Tucker, and Melanie Del Bosque. 20 Great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.

We the Ramirez and Rodriguez family would like to take the time to express and extend our utmost sincere gratitude with a heartfelt embrace to each and everyone for your prayers, flowers, food offerings, and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time.

A rosary will be recited Friday May 29, 2015 at 7 PM at Odessa Funeral Home. Mass will be delivered at 10 AM Saturday May 30, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father: Joseph Mamachan, officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Assisting as Pallbearers will be Mrs. Ramirez’s grandchildren, Jerry Garza, JoAnne Dixon, Anthony, Tommy, and Jerrod Duckworth, Mia Bejda, Joaquin Ramirez, and RJ Chavez.
