Catherine A Hoffman

Cathy was born on July 30, 1938 to John J and Rosina Pepper. She graduated from Mater Dei Catholic High School in Evansville, Indiana in 1956. She then married James E Hoffman on September 6, 1958 in Evansville, Indiana.

She did clerical work most of her adult life working at Medical Center Hospital, and Nurses Unlimited. She was her children’s biggest fan and didn’t miss any of their activities, ranging from tap and ballet, softball, swimming and band. If her girls were involved, so was she.

Cathy was a very devout Catholic who never lost her faith, even with her failing health. She was active in her church and one of the founding members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Cathy is survived by her daughter Lynda Wright, grandsons James R Wright, Quinton P Wright, Michael S Hoffman, and Blake Bosse Hoffman great grandchildren Joniee Renee Wright, Coda Elise Wright and Alexzander Blake Hoffman. She was blessed with numerous cousins and countless amazing friends. If you met Cathy, you loved her. She was a kind and loving soul.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents John and Rosina Pepper, brothers Melvin Pepper, Marvin Pepper, Norman Pepper, John Pepper Jr and sisters Malinda Wolfe, Marcella Neimier, Verda Clark, Rosalie Bosse. Her husband James E Hoffman, daughters Catherine Renee Hoffman and Shannon Kay Hoffman.

Viewing will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, Dec 5th at Frank Wilson Funeral Home. A vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m, led by Deacon Bobby Wright, rosary will be led by Candal Wright, Sharon Mendenhall, Sheila Denton, Donna Cox, and Marge McMurdo.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, Dec 6th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Joe Barbieri and Deacon Bobby Wright presiding. Music will be led by Larry Pepper and readings will be done by Joniee Wright. Pall Bearers will be Dale Bosse, Brian Bosse, Dean Bosse, Steve Pepper, Kevin Harrell and Hiroy Payen

Cathy will be laid to rest following the Mass at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
