Cathy married Jaime “James” Ramirez, the love of her life, on Friday, April 13, 1973 in Odessa. They lived in Del Rio for 3 years while James was in the Air Force and then moved on to Odessa, where she worked for ECISD for 15 years as a cook. In 2000 they moved to San Angelo, where Cathy worked as a pastry chef for Halfmann’s Cake Cottage. In 2008 they came back home to Odessa to spend time with their family and the grandchildren.
In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball with her sisters. She was very artistic and enjoyed photography, crocheting, painting, drawing and working on puzzles. Cathy loved spending time at the lake in San Angelo with family – especially their family trips there for holidays like Easter and the 4th of July. But most of all, she enjoyed spoiling all of her grandchildren.
