Charlene "Sam" McFatter

Charlene was born on November 19, 1935, to Gus & Emma Parish. She graduated from Springlake-Earth High School. Charlene married Art McFatter February 26, 1954. Charlene was a homemaker, a bank teller, bookkeeper and a children's home house parent.

Picking up the nickname "Sam", she was the one who lit up every room. Charlene was the fun aunt, a connoisseur of jokes and adored playing cards & Forty-Two. Donning the title Nana Belle, she spoiled her grandkids, gave the best back scratches, and Nana hugs.

A tenacious go-getter, Charlene danced through life, smiling, laughing always making friends feel like family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gus & Emma Parish, her siblings: Gus Jr., Kenneth Bane, Doug, Margaret, Charles, Mary, son-in-law James Weaver, and granddaughter Karen Jeanine McFatter.

She leaves behind her children Terresia Weaver, Donnie McFatter, and wife Donna, Connie Conley and husband, Wayne; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

A visitation for Charlene will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. A committal service and burial will occur Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 6801 E, I-20BL Odessa, TX 79762.
