

Charles, or "Rojo," as he was known to many of his oilfield coworkers, was born on January 29, 1941. He married his wife Louise on January 13, 1960. Baptized January 09, 1999, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 He said to him: " 'You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.' 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 the second, like it, is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.
Charles is survived by his wife, two daughters; Kendra, 22 and Doretha, 29, one son Chuck, 50 and daughter-in-law Dianne all of Odessa. His Mother-in-law Winnie Gonce of Hale Center, TX. Two brothers Elliot of Holly Creek, OK and Donnie of Holley Center, OK two sisters Linda Ward of Carrollton, TX and Virginia Jamerson of Holly Creek, OK.
He has three grandchildren Heather Roson of Panama OK, Mike Smallwood of Purvis, MS and Gina Hudson of Joshua, TX. Four great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Charles worked with the foster care system in Ector County and there are many of his foster children that still think of him as their dad.
Memorial service at 4th and Adams Kingdom Hall 5:00 p.m. January 15.
