Christelle June Henderson

Christelle June Henderson was born December 24, 1926 in Bronte, Texas to Clyde and Ella Buford. She died October 8, 2011 in Odessa, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Corkey Buford. Survivors are her husband James, daughter Carolyn Couch of Odessa, two grandchildren Brian Couch of Odessa and Brandy Cranford and husband Chad of Carrolton, TX; several nieces and nephews, and 3 great- grandchildren the light of her life, Natalie, Allie, and Brooke.

She graduated from Bronte High School and married James Henderson, a solider boy in WWII, August 4, 1945 in San Angelo, Texas. They lived happily in a Christian marriage for 66 years. They moved to Odessa in 1957. She was a house wife and worked at Sears. She was a long time and faithful member of Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held 6pm-9pm, Monday October 10, 2011 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church with longtime Pastor and friend Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
