Daniel "Danny" Hinojos Rios Sr.

He was born on January 9th 1956 in Odessa, TX to his parents Alberto Rios Sr. and Hilaria H. Rios.

Danny was a devoted Son, Husband, Father, Tio, Cousin, and friend to many. His love for Christ is portrayed by the many friends and family who love him. Many of his nieces and nephews have stories of their adventures with Tio. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

An avid fisherman and hunter he enjoyed sharing his knowledge about guns and fishing. Danny worked as a butcher for Village Market as well as HEB until switching careers to drive a truck in the oilfield. Like his son, he was never afraid to tell you he loved you and how much you meant to him.

HE is Preceded in death by his Son,Daniel Rios JR., his parents, Alberto Rios Sr. and Hilaria H. Rios, and his Sister, Elizabeth R. Cortez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved Wife of 36 years Rosemary Rios of Odessa, TX, his four children Daughter; Mary Elizabeth Rios of Odessa, TX, Aubre Isabel Ramirez of Odessa, TX. Son; Maxton King Tijerina of Odessa, TX, and Cliff DeArmond of Odessa, TX. Grandchildren ; Caleb DeArmond of Odessa, TX, Connor DeArmond of (Odessa, TX), Mariah DeArmond of Odessa, TX, and Chase DeArmond of Odessa, TX. Brother; Seferino Rios (Sylvia) of Odessa,TX , Albert Rios Jr.(Irma) of Odessa,TX, Manuel Rios (Ruth) of Odessa, TX Sisters; Celia Rios of Seminale, Liandra Olivarez (Alonzo) of Odessa, TX, Maria Ramirez (Manuel) Odessa,TX He also leaves behind his Canine Partner in Crime Pablo Rios.

We will miss the great man with the heart of gold, that we were blessed to call a Son, Husband, a Dad, a Brother,a Tio, a Cousin, and a friend.

Pallbearers will be: Joey Olivarez, Andrew Rios, Mark Sanchez, John Albert Rios, David Ramirez, Bubba Ramirez, Albert Rios III, Steve Cortez Phillip Rios, Rico Munoz, Daniel Cortez, and Juan Cortez.

Visitation will he held today Sunday July 17, 2016 from 1pm to 9 pm; Monday July 18, 2016 from 8 am to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Odessa Funeral home. Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday July 19, 2016 at latter rain worship center 305 e. 19th Odessa, TX with Pastor Craig DeArmond. Burial will follow at Ector County cemetery. Services by Odessa funeral home.
